An opportunity to face the challenges that climate change will bring, and plan together as a community
CAM no longer holds monthly meetings but we do have an informal “drop-in” meeting in the Seed Café at Marple Methodist Church every Thursday between 10.00am and 1.00pm. Please feel free to drop in and meet some of us.
If you have a passion about the environment and would like to join a group who want to make our local area, our country and our world a better place you would very welcome.
We are in the process of making a major upgrade to our website, so please bear with us as we do so.

N.B. The book was written before we changed our name so it does refer to MESS, not CAM.
With Stockport Council’s encouragement MESS planted the Community Orchard on the Recreation Ground, Marple in 2017. There are over 65 fruit trees of all varieties which are looked after by a small group of volunteers. We would appreciate more helpers so if you are interested please get in touch
Over the years MESS has held many information days such as September 2019 when we held a very successful ‘CLIMATE CRISIS IN MARPLE’ day. Our latest event was on Sunday 23rd April 2023 at Marple Hall School.
We no longer hold monthly meetings but you can still contact us at [email protected]
If you are interested in being involved in any of CAM’s events or feel you can help get please get in touch
